Fewer flex-skeds

Fewer working flex-time hours, report says [USAToday, 7.25.2005]

The number of employees with flexible work schedules is dropping even as research shows that non-traditional hours can enhance productivity.

The number of full-time wage and salary workers age 16 and older on flexible schedules dropped from 29 million in May 2001 to 27.4 million in 2004, according to a July report from the U.S. Department of Labor. Industries leading the way with workers on flexible schedules include information and financial, professional and business services.
