GSA moves into new phase of CRM project

SAIC gets a contract to support the implementation of a customer relations management system.

The General Services Administration has chosen Science Applications International Corp. to help implement a customer relationship management (CRM) system. SAIC will provide integration services under a task order contract that could be worth up to $46.6 million if all options are exercised.

The award is the latest step in GSA’s Enterprise CRM project, which marks the first time the agency has pursued an agencywide CRM system. GSA seeks to boost customer service and enhance employees' ability to collaborate in account and opportunity management, marketing, and service delivery, according to the agency.

GSA’s Office of Citizen Services and Communications directs the Enterprise CRM deployment.

SAIC’s task order contract, awarded through GSA’s Millennia program, covers a one-year base period and four one-year options. The base contract is valued at $10.1 million.

Siebel Systems reported last month that GSA selected its CRM package as the software platform for the agency’s Enterprise CRM project.
