SRA completes Galaxy acquisition
Galaxy specializes in command, control, communications, computers and intelligence tactical systems.
SRA International has completed its acquisition of Galaxy Scientific, a provider of systems engineering, information technology and tactical communications services and solutions to the federal government. The deal closed July 1.
Galaxy, founded in 1988, specializes in command, control, communications, computers and intelligence tactical systems and other areas that are critical to the Defense Department.
The company also has contracts with the Homeland Security Department and the Federal Aviation Administration. The 450-person firm reported $90 million in revenue during the 12-month period that ended April 3, 2005.
Renato DiPentima, SRA's president and chief executive officer, said his team has already begun integrating Galaxy's operations into SRA’s.
