Potomac Management hires industry pro for business development

Jay Jayachandran comes to management consulting firm from SAIC

Potomac Management Group, a management consulting firm, has appointed Jay Jayachandran as vice president of marketing.

Jayachandran will direct the firm’s strategy for business development and marketing in the commercial and federal markets. Prior to joining the company, Jayachandran was vice president of business development at Science Applications International Corp. There, he led the business development effort for SAIC’s Federal Civilian Group. He also has held management positions at Booz Allen Hamilton, Lockheed Martin and Unisys.

Potomac Management Group works with clients in the Homeland Security Department, where the company has completed more than 500 task orders. In 2004, DHS’ Coast Guard National Maritime Center awarded Potomac Management Group a contract for administrative and technical support. That $21 million contract was awarded under the General Services Administration’s Management, Organization and Business Improvement Services schedule.
