MetaPass reaches out to feds through partnership

To increase government business for its single sign-on products, the company has partnered with Carahsoft Technology.

MetaPass, a company that makes single sign-on technology, has formed a partnership with Carahsoft Technology in a bid to extend MetaPass's government reach.

Carahsoft, an information technology provider, will lend its sales and marketing muscle to MetaPass' effort. The agreement will allow Carahsoft to offer MetaPass' single sign-on products, which allow users to gain access to several systems using one password.

"To this day, no single sign-on product has been able to understand and support the complexity of authentication in the government space," said Craig Abod, president of Carahsoft, in a prepared statement announcing the partnership. "Government customers have been looking for a solution to secure and simplify systems access, and our partnership with MetaPass will make this solution readily available."

MetaPass announced the arrangement today at the IT Security World trade show in San Francisco.
