NewGov to buy IntelArtisans

NewGov expects the acquisition to strengthen its appeal in the homeland security and law enforcement markets, its CEO said.

NewGov Solutions, a business owned by service-disabled veterans, is acquiring IntelArtisans, which helps government agencies implement information sharing, collaboration and intelligence analysis capabilities.

NewGov, a professional services firm, specializes in consulting services and implementation, and has experienced employees with security clearances.

NewGov expects the acquisition to strengthen its appeal in the homeland security and law enforcement markets, said Earle Munns, the company's chief executive officer.

"IntelArtisans contributes new and complementary technologies and expertise to our core competency areas, and allows us to expand our customer base and presence in new ways," he said, in a written statement.

James Graham, CEO of IntelArtisans, will join newGov's executive team, but his position was not specified. Financial terms were also not disclosed.
