Anteon gets Air Force Surgeon General contract
Integrator will establish and operate Military Health System programs at 34 locations in the United States, Europe and Asia.
Anteon will help the Air Force Surgeon General’s office manage patient safety systems under a contract worth up to $18.5 million.
The integrator will establish and operate the Military Health System Patient Safety Systems Support and Data Analysis Program at 34 Air Force locations in the United States, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, Korea and Japan.
The scope of Anteon’s systems support and data analysis includes both inpatient and outpatient care. The company also will make recommendations for organizational changes that promote safer patient care delivery.
The Air Force Surgeon General project marks the latest in a series of health care-related awards for Anteon. In March, the company was awarded a $117 million Army contract to support the Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care program.
The Army also tapped Anteon for a $10.6 million contract to support the Military Operational Medicine Research Program. That pact was awarded in May.
Anteon specializes in health-related information technology, administration, biomedical systems engineering, medical program management, and biological and pharmaceutical product development, according to a company spokeswoman. The integrator also pursues diagnostic imaging, telemedicine, electronic patient records, and electronic data interchange among other fields.
