WebMethods gets Common Criteria certification
The company's enterprise application integration software receives security stamp of approval.
WebMethods today reported that the company’s mainstay business integration product suite has received the Common Criteria certification.
The company’s webMethods Fabric has garnered Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 2 certification from the National Information Assurance Partnership Common Criteria evaluation body. webMethods Fabric provides enterprise application integration, business process management and business activity monitoring software. It also offers tools for building component-based applications.
CygnaCom Solutions, a McLean, Va.-based consulting company, independently conducted the testing procedure leading to the certification. CygnaCom offers security risk assessments and other services including FIPS 140-2, FIPS 201 and Common Criteria testing.
The Army Aviation and Missile Command, Defense Information Systems Agency, and the IRS are among webMethods’ business integration software customers. Jeremy Epstein, webMethods’ senior director of product security said webMethods Fabric is the first integration product suite to achieve EAL 2 certification.
