Neterion eyes government resellers
Maker of high-speed network hardware seeks to broaden its government market.
Neterion, a maker of 10 Gigabit Ethernet adapters, has created an expanded marketing initiative intended to formalize partnerships with resellers and facilitate the company's efforts to market to government agencies.
Government ranks among the Cupertino, Calif.-based company’s top three vertical markets, according to Tracy Crowe, Neterion’s director of market development. “Government is one of the early opportunities for 10 Gigabit Ethernet, because of the need for speed,” he said.
Neterion has a distribution arrangement with Info X, which supplies products to government resellers.
Neterion, however, plans to formalize its work with government resellers through its Professional Partners Program. The company hopes to obtain a General Services Administration schedule in a couple of months, including a discount schedule specifically for resellers.
The company’s Xframe product line is intended for use with high-end server and storage systems.
