Silicon Valley's 'Help Wanted' sign
BusinessWeek has a piece on eight tech trends. All of them are interesting, but some are more relevant to the government IT world than others. (I have listed them below.) But three will have impact on government IT.
The first one -- workforce issues. According to BW, "They're Hiring in Techland... The tech job market has sprung back to life, and this year could be the best one since 2000."
The third -- yes, wireless. "The Brave New World of Wireless...
The nascent boom in next-gen wireless services promises increased sales for mobile outfits -- and stiff competition for a share of those revenues"
The other interesting item is about security -- trojans. "Coming to Your PC's Back Door: Trojans... These slick cyberattacks take aim at specific recipients to get past firewalls and gather sensitive data. And they're on the increase."
