Oracle closes Siebel deal
Vendors begin integrating Siebel's CRM software into Oracle's enterprise suite.
Oracle has completed its acquisition of Siebel Systems, a developer of customer relationship management software.
Oracle officials said Siebel’s products will become the core CRM offering within Oracle Fusion Applications, Oracle’s next-generation enterprise software suite. The company’s fusion strategy calls for the delivery of applications that take advantage of service-oriented architecture and grid computing.
Oracle revealed its plans to buy Siebel in September 2005. In the government market, agencies use Siebel software to automate contact centers.
