Perot Systems government subsidiary gets new leader

Greg Bedner, founder of the company that is now Perot Systems Government Service, has left his position as president of the organization for another job with Perot.

Jim Ballard, chief operating officer of the subsidiary, has been chosen to succeed Bedner, according to a company announcement.

Bedner joined the company in 2002 with Perot's acquisition of ADI Technology, which Bedner had started. He will stay with Perot Systems to direct long-range government business development.

Perot Systems Government Services employs more than 2,000 people and is now a $270 million business, according to the company. Perot Systems has increased its emphasis on the government space in recent years, viewing it as a reliable source of revenue.
