Stanley purchases engineering firm
Acquisition of Morgan Research is the largest in Stanley's history.
Stanley Associates, an information technology and professional services firm, has completed the acquisition of Morgan Research, which provides engineering services.
Based in Huntsville, Ala., Morgan Research has built a business with customers including the Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), the Army’s Program Executive Officer for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation, and NASA.
Morgan brings in about $67 million in annual revenue, and has 480 employees, three-quarters of whom hold security clearances. The acquisition is the largest ever for Stanley, according to a company spokeswoman.
In 2004, the Arlington, Va., integrator purchased Fuentez Systems Concepts, a $44 million company with 260 employees. Stanley has worked with Morgan in the past, having teamed on AMCOM work, the spokeswoman said.
