AirTight Networks finds resellers
More are expected in the next few months as network security firm aims for federal market.
AirTight Networks has inked three government reseller deals as part of its push into the federal market.
The company, which offers wireless intrusion prevention systems, announced reseller agreements with Government Channels Group, True North Solutions and The Presidio Corp.
AirTight has other reseller arrangements in the works, said Dennis Tsu, vice president of marketing at the company. By the end of 2006, he said, he expects eight to 10 government resellers to be on board. AirTight does all of its government business through such indirect sales channels.
AirTight has also submitted three products for certification under the Common Criteria, another piece of its strategy to move more strongly into the federal market. CygnaCom Solutions, a certified National Information Assurance Partnership Common Criteria testing laboratory, is carrying out the evaluations.
The products under evaluation are SpectraGuard Enterprise, an enterprise WIPS solution; SpectraGuard Sentry, a branch office WIPS product; and SpectraGuard SAFE, a laptop protection solution. Tsu said his company has been told that the certification process can take six months to a year.
