GSA signs new facilities software contract
The agency stays with VFA's product for managing facilities and capital planning.
The General Services Administration has signed a new $1.25 million contract with a software developer called VFA to purchase an enterprisewide license for the company's VFA.facility capital asset planning and management software.
GSA has been using VFA.facility since 2000 as a tool to manage properties that it owns, according to a VFA announcement. GSA's Public Buildings Service owns and leases office space and other facilities to agencies.
The software enables GSA employees nationwide to collect and manage information about their facilities. The company has modified the software for GSA so that it supports agency workers who audit GSA's real estate portfolio.
