Unregistered travlers

Another story from USAToday which had the story that only one of the country's busiest airports has signed up for the once-ballyhooed idea of creating a fast-track security line for frequent or well-heeled fliers.

The airport in Orlando is the only big airport in the country to sign up for the Registered Traveler program. Registered Traveler's pilot programs were in Minneapolis-St.Paul, Los Angeles, Houston, Boston and Washington, D.C.

I saw the program on my somewhat regular trips to Orlando, but I can tell you why I never signed up -- I don't go through Orlando enough to give up all that information for just one airport. And, personally, I'm not sure I want to give up that much personal information just to shave 10 minutes off my wait at the airport. Of course, a few more near-missed flights at Dulles because of the security line and that might change.
