In-Q-Tel makes Johnson a partner
He had been serving as a principal on In-Q-Tel's venture capital team in Silicon Valley.
Will Johnson has been named a partner at In-Q-Tel, the Arlington, Va.-based venture capital affiliate of the CIA.
Scott Yancey, In-Q-Tel’s president and chief executive officer, made the announcement. Yancey replaced Amit Yoran, who resigned in April.
Johnson had been serving as a principal on In-Q-Tel's venture capital team in Silicon Valley. Previously, he was with JP Morgan Partners, where he focused on enterprise software and was a founding member of the firm's software investment practice.
Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in finance with distinction from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master of business administration with high honors from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.
