GSA' Doan first steps seem positive
So literally just days after the new GSA administrator Lurita Doan was sworn in to that office, she has agreed to her first speaking engagement with an industry group, in this case the Coalition for Government Procurement, which holds its spring conference on Tuesday. Word just came down on Friday, so it isn't even posted online in the coalition's conference agenda -- at least as of Sunday.
The speed with which she is stepping out there surprised a number of people I spoke to on Friday -- but it was a pleasant surprise. Of course, one of Doan's big tasks, aside from focusing on GSA's fleeing customers, is working on GSA's relationship with industry.
Unfortunately I cannot be there. I'm down here on Hilton Head Island, S.C. -- yes, I know, it is a rough life! -- for the annual Management of Change conference, but FCW will have a reporter at the coalition event on Tuesday reporting on what Doan says.
