I will be away starting Thursday through Thanksgiving week enjoying some time with my family. There are 11 of us doing a Disney Cruise in the western Caribbean.
There are not many places these days where you can truly escape our hyper-connected, 24/7 world. It has been some time since I have been on a cruise, so I suspect one can be more connect, but I also think that these ships -- floating cities, really -- may be a place where people go to get away. Yes, I'm sure there is some connectivity, but my guess is that it is... difficult... and probably expensive. I'll let you know.
So you probably won't be hearing much from me.
I hope everybody has a good Thanksgiving. Safe travels. If you are flying, pack your patience, check TSA's Web site for what you can bring and what you can't and what your potential wait time may be at the security checkpoint.
I'm back on Nov. 27.
