PSC forms competitiveness committee

The new Services Industry Competitiveness Committee will examine critical market issues and drivers affecting the structure and competitiveness of the industry.

The Professional Services Council has formed a committee that will examine critical market issues and drivers affecting the structure and competitiveness of the industry.

The Services Industry Competitiveness Committee, which will incorporate the work of the PSC Balanced Procurement Task Force, will identify areas in which the council can recommend policy or other changes in the government.

According to PSC, the inspiration for the new group came from a study by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, “The Structure and Dynamics of the U.S. Federal Professional Services Industrial Base, 1995-2004,” and discussions at the PSC CEO forum.

Tom DeGarmo of BearingPoint will chair the committee, which will hold its first meeting Thursday, Nov. 30.
