Bob Golas' new home

Bob Golas has found a new home after he left Savi Technologies after that company was purchased. He is joining SiloSmashers.
 

SiloSmashers today announced that Bob Golas has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. He is charged with identifying and acquiring new federal sales opportunities and will report to Bruce Higgins, Senior Vice President of Business Development.

"His knowledge of the industry and ability to work with key government and business leaders will be an important asset as we continue to grow our business. He clearly understands the market we are focused on and I'm confident he will develop the right mix of resources and clients to support SiloSmashers' growth strategies."

A 35-year veteran of the information technology community, Mr. Golas has led business development for some of the industry's largest names. Most recently he served as the Vice President of Business Development at Savi Technology, where he represented the firm at several industry forums and built C-level client relationships across the federal government.

Active in the IT community, Mr. Golas is the recipient of a Federal 100 Award; The Association for Federal Information Resource Management (AFFIRM) Industry Leadership Award; and the Industry Advisory Council Chairman's Award for Outstanding Contributions.

Mr. Golas is currently serving as a chair for the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) Homeland Security Protection Liaison Committee and the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Committee. Additionally he serves on the Government IT Executive Council (GITEC) Executive Advisory Committee for the annual IPIC conference, and as a Board Member for the Association for Federal Information Resource Management (AFFIRM). He previously has served IAC as both a Chairman and Vice Chairman for the Homeland Protection Shared Interest Group (SIG).
