Of course the big question there: Will there be three awards... or four? We'll get it posted as quickly as possible on .Whew! A busy week.More to come on the Doan hearing. We have full coverage in the April 2 issue, of course.

I'm just back from Capitol Hill, where I was on hand for the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee's grilling of GSA Administrator Lurita Doan. The committee has posted all the testimony here. There is plenty of reading for your nighttime pleasure.

Meanwhile, tomorrow at 10:45a ET, GSA will make the much anticipated award for the first part of Network.

The U.S. General Services Administration will announce award of the Networx Universal federal telecommunications contract in a press conference at GSA Central Office on Thursday, March 29, 2007. Administrator Lurita Doan and John Johnson, the Federal Acquisition Service's Assistant Commissioner for Integrated Technology Services, will discuss award and program specifics. Third in a series of telecommunications acquisition programs developed by GSA in close partnership with federal agencies, Networx is the largest federal telecommunications acquisition ever competed providing 135 federal agencies across 191 countries voice, IP wireless, satellite and IP-centric services. It will transform the current federal telecommunications system to a secure, worldwide IP and MPLS-based network compliant with Internet Protocol version 6 and other major technological advances.
