No end in sight for GSA issues

Not much good news out there for either GSA or Lurita Doan.

First off, two Democratic Senators came out yesterday and called for Doan to resign -- the first such public call from lawmakers.

And then the WP reports this morning that the Office of Special Counsel is expanding its investigation of the now infamous January meeting at GSA during which Karl Rove's deputy spoke to GSA political appointees. [See the PowerPoint slides from this meeting here. (.pdf)] There was some contention that these kinds of meetings go on at other agencies. OIG is investigating that contention.

One other interesting tidbit from the WP -- literally the last line of the story:

White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said the administration is reviewing a report on the matter by the GSA inspector general.
