He is a renowned expert in government telecom. He recently wrote a column for FCW on . It ran as part of the FCW-GCN-WT . John is also a multiple winner of the Fed 100 award, for his work to help get Networx to this point.He is one of those unusual people that everybody has good things to say about.Our thoughts are with John and his family.

From the obituary that ran in the Times-Herald:
Mildred I. Okay
RILEY TOWNSHIP -- Mildred I. Okay, 84, of Riley Township, died Friday, July 6, 2007, in Mercy Hospital, Port Huron. She was born in Detroit on March 28, 1923, a daughter to the late George and Hazel Wisson. At the age of 4, she was adopted by A. Louis and Almeda Little of Memphis, Michigan, and after living in Memphis, she and her parents moved to a farm near Emmett where she lived the rest of her life.
Mildred graduated from Port Huron Junior College with a degree in Education. She married Stanley J. Okay in Wauseon, Ohio, on June 16, 1941. Together they ran a dairy farm until 1970. Stanley preceded Mildred in death on September 23, 1997.
Mildred was active in the VFW as a member and president of the Emmett, Michigan, Auxiliary and the Port Huron Auxiliary, and as a state district president. She was involved in the 4-H Youth Program as a parent and leader for 17 years. Mildred enjoyed tending to her rock and herb gardens, bird watching and flower arranging.
