FCW: What do you think of Federal Computer Week?
FCW is in the final stages of doing a survey of our readers. This is a opportunity to have your say on what you like -- or don't like -- about the magazine or the Web site. This is very helpful -- well, to me specifically. We don't make specific decisions on what to cover -- or what not to cover -- based on these kinds of surveys. After all, there are certain stories that are just important even if they aren't huge sellers. (I believe I have mentioned it here before, but Ted Koppel, the former anchor of ABC News' program Nightline, was once asked why they covered the O.J. Simpson case so much and he said that the Simpson coverage gives him ratings that lets him cover the other stuff, like Dafur or Iraq and Afghanistan or some other story that may be complex and may be dense, but that we know is important. (Around here, we often call them BBI: boring, but important.)
That being said, my goal always is to find a different take on every story we do, so even if it is BBI, we make it accessible enough that you can learn something that you didn't know before.
The reader survey is your opportunity to tell me how we're doing. What do you like -- and what do you not like. What would you like FCW do cover more? And what would you rather us not cover?
As always, our goal is to help you do your job better, so your insights are invaluable.
If that is not enough, we also make a donation to charitable causes for those who fill out the survey... and it don't take all that long.
So... have your say...
