More association merger-mania

, we told you that we were hearing that there would likely be more consolidations among industry associations. That came after the Information Technology Industry Association (ITAA) and the Government Electronics Industry Association (GEIA) announced that they . [Washington Technology]Well, there is word that the and the are close to a merger or a buy or something along those lines.Neither side are talking, but the word is that PSC may have already voted on it and CSA is all but finished voting on it. It is unclear how long before it would be made official -- and, as I say, neither party was talking.PSC, of course, is led by President Stan Soloway and Senior Vice President and Counsel Alan Chvotkin, Esq.CSA is generally a more quiet organization. It is probably know as the home of Colleen Preston, who is CSA's senior vice president for public policy.Meanwhile, no word on the ITAA and GEIA merger, although I keep getting the sense that the parties are moving along assuming it will be a done deal. People seem to be expecting final word to come down in January.Merger-mania.
