The Department of Health and Human Services has proposed a two-year study to see if doctors get any value from health information exchanges, according to . An HHS research group will use questionnaires and focus groups to query health care providers in Colorado whether a soon-to-be launched online portal there is useful. The Colorado Regional Health Information Organization has been contracted by HHS to build the portal,  and the study will help determine the future design and implementations of similar portals, NextGov said.
