A Sneak Preview of an AHLTA Interface
Military clinicians really hate the interface for the Defense Department's AHLTA (<a href=http://whatsbrewin.nextgov.com/2009/03/ahlta_maybe_not_a_noun.php>maybe not a noun</a>) electronic health record system.
Military clinicians really hate the interface for the Defense Department's AHLTA (maybe not a noun) electronic health record system. Top Military Health Service officials told a hearing of the Joint Military Personnel and Terrorism, Unconventional Threats and Capabilities subcommittees of the House Armed Services Committee on Mach 24 that they would have a new graphical user interface ready for delivery in May.
Tommy Morris, acting director of the office of deputy assistant secretary of Defense for force health protection and readiness programs, told the hearing the new AHLTA GUI would equal the one used by the Veterans Affairs Department's Veterans Health Information System and Technology Architecture electronic health record system in ease of use.
MHS sent a screen shot of the new AHLTA GUI, and I'd like to hear from military clinicians what they think of it compared to what they use today.
