Obama to nominate Martha Johnson to head GSA

President Obama will nominate Martha Johnson, vice president of culture at Computer Sciences Corp., to head the General Services Administration, according to a White House statement.

Johnson served as co-lead on Obama's Presidential Transition Agency Review Team for GSA. She served as GSA chief of staff from 1996 to 2001, leaving to join SRA as a vice president. She moved to CSC in 2007.

GSA provides assisted procurement services to agencies. It also manages several contracts, including the GSA Schedules, and maintains federal buildings through its Public Buildings Service.
