Federal Chief Information Officer Vivek Kundra met with former government CIOs who are members of the Senior Advisors to Government Executives, or SAGE, program at the Partnership for Public Service last week. The former CIOs advised Kundra to hone in on three management issues as he sets out to accomplish his technology agenda: keep focused on the top set of priorities, utilize career federal employees as much as possible, and keep in mind the implementation issues associated with government projects.
Kundra is slated to meet with the CIO-SAGE members again next week to solicit input on a new federal dashboard Web site that will detail active government technology projects.
