Federal 100: Paul Prouty

Paul Prouty
Acting Administrator
General Services Administration

Prouty stepped in as acting administrator of GSA days after President Barack Obama took office. He stayed in that role for nearly a year and was critical to increasing government transparency in many areas, including contracting, and fostering communication between the government and the public.

“Paul’s leadership enabled GSA to be responsive to [the Office of Management and Budget] and the White House’s priorities during the presidential transition,” said Martha Dorris, deputy associate administrator of GSA's Office of Citizen Services and Communications. "Paul ensured that GSA successfully launched Recovery.gov [and] focused resources on cloud computing and citizen engagement."

Prouty has returned to his job as assistant regional administrator of GSA's Rocky Mountain Region.
