Federal 100: Soraya Correa
Soraya Correa
Director, Office of Procurement Operations
Homeland Security Department
Correa has worked with DHS agencies and contractors to make the department’s acquisition process more transparent and collaborative and ultimately more competitive.
She has put in place a process to improve communications during the requirements definition phase of procurements, which helps DHS and its contractors. Her portfolio includes several of the department’s major indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts, such as First Source; Program Management, Administrative, Clerical and Technical Services; and Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions.
“Mrs. Correa has been a driving force behind consolidating and streamlining acquisition at DHS, saving both time and money,” said Charles Armstrong, assistant commissioner and chief information officer at DHS' Customs and Border Protection.
