Telehealth and mobile health applications are gaining increasing attention in Washington. Departments such as the VA and HIS are expanding budgets for telehealth, health care reform and cost cutting will likely spur the use of cheaper delivery methods like telehealth, and the FCC’s recent national broadband plan and economic stimulus funds for broadband include an emphasis on growing telehealth. This story will look at how growth paths will be affected by increasing regulatory attention from the FDA and HHS.
