U.S. Military Buys Portable Movie Theaters
The military is buying portable outdoor movie theaters for its troops.
Fighting wars is tough, dirty business that often takes place in remote and inhospitable parts of the world. But that doesn’t stop the U.S. military from making sure that its troops get some entertainment.
The U.S. Marine Corps recently purchased 13 Cinebox systems, which consist of a 16-foot inflatable movie screen, a projector, speakers, DVD player and sound mixer. The U.S. embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, also bought 15 of the portable theaters and Camp Pendleton got two systems with 30-foot screens.
We don't know what's first on the bill, but we're betting it's not "Sex And the City 2" or one of the Twilight films.
