Cyber Workers: OPM Wants You
The Office of Personnel Management is looking for cybersecurity workers and hiring managers to participate in focus groups to discuss challenges in hiring federal cyber workers. In a memo sent last week to agency chief human capital officers, OPM Director John Berry said the focus groups will support the government's workforce structure efforts under the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education.
Participants in the focus groups will discuss recruitment and other HR strategies, challenges, best practices and brainstorm ideas to help hire and retain cyber experts to meet existing and future federal workforce needs, Berry said. "The focus groups will further our objective to recruit and retain a highly skilled federal cybersecurity workforce," he wrote.
