Arrrgh, More Budget Boiler Plate To Come
Want to know how much the Senate Appropriations Committee ponied up for key Defense Department widget, gadget and gizmos programs in 2011 in its monstrosity of an omnibus spending bill approved Tuesday?
Wait until tomorrow, when you can read all about it in the "explanatory statement" published in the Dec. 14 Congressional Record, not available online until then.
Right now, the 2011 Defense bill summary kindly provided by the committee only says the solons provided funds -- with no specificity -- for projects such as the Army Warrior Information Network - Tactical (WIN-T), the Joint Tactical Radio System and the advanced Brigade Combat Team Network.
This whole end of the year budget race sure is a strange way to run a government.
