Lew sworn in as OMB director
This is Jacob Lew's second tour as director of the Office of Management and Budget; he held the post in the latter part of the Clinton administration.
Jacob Lew was sworn in today as the director of the Office of Management and Budget by Vice President Joe Biden. The Senate confirmed Lew last November. He replaces Peter Orszag as OMB director.
Before his nomination to be OMB director, Lew was serving as the deputy secretary for management and resources at the State Department and as the department’s chief operating officer.
He was also OMB director during the Clinton administration.
