Obama Nominates Susan Lawrence as Army CIO
Secretary of Defense Robert Gates announced that President Obama nominated Maj. Gen. Susan Lawrence for promotion to Lt. Gen. with assignment as the Army Chief Information Officer, replacing Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Sorenson, who retired last November.
Lawrence has been hanging around in the Pentagon on one of those "special project" assignments since September, pending her nomination. She previously served as commander of the Army Network Enterprise Technology Command/9th Signal Command, Ft. Huachuca, Ariz.
I think Lawrence is way cool.
This post was corrected to reflect that Lawrence has not yet been promoted.
