Bajinder Paul joins GSA's innovative technologies office
Bajinder Paul, who has won two Federal 100 awards from FCW for his work using IT to help his agencies interact with the public, is now at GSA.
Bajinder Paul, a widely respected IT expert in the federal government, has joined the General Services Administration.
Paul told FCW he is now the senior IT adviser to the associate administrator for citizen services and innovative technologies at GSA.
"Paul is in charge of providing and managing technology services and solutions used to support OCSIT's citizen centric and agency facing programs and services," said Dave McClure, GSA's associate administrator for citizen services and Paul's new boss.
Paul moved from his position as CIO at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency at the Treasury Department to GSA this month.
In his new job, Paul will lead the modernization and implementation of Agile IT infrastructure, leveraging cloud computing to enable the delivery of mission capabilities.
Paul won a Federal 100 award in 2010 for his work at Treasury. In 2009, he launched and implemented an IT modernization strategy. It provided the office with a business-driven architecture that relies on cloud computing and Web-based tools.
He also won a Federal 100 award in 2008. While deputy CIO at the Housing and Urban Development Department, Paul created a Web portal to provide nationwide access from one location to all types of housing disaster assistance.
