Jim Traficant is passionate about transforming health care — as a corporate executive who has built a $100 million business and as a two-time liver transplant survivor.

Traficant directs Harris’ award-winning Connect program, which has been developing open-source software for the Health and Human Services Department’s Federal Health Architecture. FHA will enable health care organizations to securely exchange patient information via the Nationwide Health Information Network.

Traficant’s health care solutions group provides enterprise imaging, information and communications technology, infrastructure, and informatics to government and commercial health care organizations.

Traficant also puts his business development and leadership skills to good use as a director for the United Network for Organ Sharing and as a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and AFCEA International.
