In his role as a Congressman with a seat on the Military Personnel Subcommittee of the House Armed Services Committee, Joe Heck, had the opportunity yesterday at a hearing to grill Jonathan Woodson, assistant secretary of defense for health affairs on the 2012 Military Health System budget and other topics.
But, both Heck and Woodson serve in Army Reserve medical units, where the performance of Col. Heck is evaluated by Brig. Gen Woodson.
Heck told yesterday's hearing that, under terms of full disclosure, everyone should know that Woodson is his Army "rater" and then quickly thanked him for the good performance reviews.
