Sony says second hack attack took credit card numbers

Sony reported a second cyber-hack on Monday, this one giving attackers a lode of names, addresses, e-mails, birth dates, phone numbers, and other information from 24.6 million PC games customers, AFP and Reuters reported.

This attack targeted the Sony Online Entertainment PC games network, which hosts games played over the Internet on PCs.

The newly reported attack took place a day before a break-in of a separate PlayStation video game network used by 77 million people.

Several members of Congress have promised to investigate Sony's procedures and handling of the attack.
