A Real Sign That DISA Has Said Goodbye to Virginia
DISA will hold its annual customer and industry conference next month in the Baltimore Convention Center, near its new home at Ft. Meade, Md., instead of at some traffic snarled venue in the northern Virginia suburbs.
How refreshing -- it seems I have spent much of the past 20 years enriching cab companies in treks to various DISA events held at suburban Virginia hotels surrounded by asphalt, and nothing else.
The Baltimore Convention Center, by contrast, is a few minutes walk from the charms of both the Inner Harbor and Little Italy. Plus you can easily get there in a traffic free MARC train trip from Union Station in Washington to Camden Station in Baltimore, another short walk.
The conference runs from the night of Monday, Aug. 15, through noon on Thursday, Aug. 18, and I'll be there.
