JTRS Announces Radio Job
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command has an opening this fall for a program manager for the Joint Tactical Radio System Airborne, Maritime, and Fixed Site project.
This is the JTRS segment developing radios mostly to go in stuff that floats or flies, with a total budget of $8.2 billion -- until the budgteers in Congress decide the country can no longer afford radios whose price tags have lots of zeros.
Les Hubbard, who has the very long title of SPAWAR Acquisition and Program Management National Competency Lead, is running the job search for the position at the 06-/GS-15 level, with a move to San Diego required.
The office is located just off the intersection of Nimitz Blvd. and North Harbor Drive.
Anyone interested in the job should contact Hubbard. Applications are due Aug. 19.
