The Veterans Affairs Department released a documentary Friday showing how a handful of badly wounded veterans in the Polytrauma System of Care at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Va., learn to live and recover from the devastating and all-too-real physical wounds of war.
Take some time this holiday weekend to watch the 25-minute piece, "From Surviving to Thriving," and I guarantee you'll never complain about anything ever again.
This should be required viewing for any member of Congress who wants to take an axe to the VA budget.
