Interior creates system for employee mobile device connection
The Interior Department is encouraging its workers to use their own mobile devices to connect with the department's time and attendence system on its network.
Interior Department employees now can use their own smart phones and mobile devices to access time and attendance applications on the department’s network, according to a Feb. 2 article on FederalNewsRadio.
Any device that has an Internet connection, including iPhones, iPads and Android phones, can be used to link with the new Web-based system launched on Feb. 2, Andrew Jackson, deputy assistant secretary for technology, information and business services, told FederalNewsRadio in the article.
Jackson said he hopes to offer more services to employees on the system soon, including email access.
