Controversial cyber bill sails through House
The president has threatened to veto CISPA if it reaches his desk.
A controversial cybersecurity bill has passed the House, despite a veto threat, reports Bill Jackson in Government Computer News.
The Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act has stirred fears of privacy intrusion and government over-reach, but passed easily, with a vote of 248 to 168.
The House also passed three other cybersecurity bills: The Federal Information Security Amendments Act, the Cybersecurity Enhancement Act of 2011 and the Advancing America's Networking and Information Technology Research and Development Act of 2012.
