Shinseki: Integrated Health Record Live in Two Years
Timeline is much faster than the originally scheduled four years.
Veterans Affairs Department Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the integrated electronic health record (iEHR) that will serve the Defense Department and VA will launch in two years.
In a brief comment to a House Veterans’ Affairs Committee hearing on mental health treatment for veterans, Shinseki said the “initial form” of the iEHR will be ready in two years, as I reported on April 26, rather than the originally scheduled four years.
If this causes any additional iEHR angst in the VA or Defense, blame the boss, not me.
