Federal News Radio reports that the Department of Health and Human Services has tapped entrepreneur Bryan Sivak as its chief technology officer. According to a Feb. 29 story in Government Technology, the former (and first) chief innovation officer for Maryland kept a poster on the wall of his office with this quote from Southwest Airlines Co-Founder Herb Kelleher: “We have a strategic plan. It’s called doing things.” Sivak fills the vacancy left by Todd Park, who moved to the White House in March to become the U.S. Chief Technology Officer.
