State Department seeks blogger
Who says feds don't offer cool jobs?
Government jobs are for clock-watching drones, in it for the pension. Bloggers post from the basement in their pajamas, avoiding the responsibilities of a real job.
Neither stereotype was ever fair, and each is less accurate now than ever. Anyone who doubts it should check out a current job opening over in Foggy Bottom.
The State Department is seeking a GS-13 blogger for its Bureau of International Information Programs. It is a permanent position focused on bringing subject-matter experts into State’s “digital diplomacy” efforts, through “blogs, web chats, and online discussion.” And a Secret security clearance is required.
Would-be bloggers had better move fast, however. The position’s open period ends Sept. 13.
